Jo's Tilda

I got this very cute image from Jo (Me and My Things) and some lovely pearlescent cards from Craftwork Cards and wanted to add a bit more sparkle. So Tilda got sparkly wings using a my new Sakura pen, the rest of her is done using coloured pencils. The base paper is from the Papermania Flowers pack. I have used a square of brown card punched with an X-cut hearts punch and a strip for my sentiment, rounded with a Woodware punch. The sentiment is a gold Anita's peel off. Finished off with a white organza ribbon.

Help Required Please

Does anyone have a good method for sealing the ends of ribbon after you have cut it to stop it fraying? Seems the bane of my life - I am always trimming and trimming!

Suzanne's Blog Candy

Suzanne at Slumber Cards is giving away some Blog Candy for adding a picture of your favourite spring tree or spring plant.

These are mine. We have some trees in the back garden (I don't know what kind they are) but in the spring they have the most beautiful pink blossoms. They really cheer me up, even on a dreary rainy day like today. Hope you like them too.

Don't Look Richelle!!

I made this card from a Bella image, base paper and embossed card that I received from Pam. This is going to be my card swop for Richelle.

PIF from Pam

Got a lovely lot of bits from Pam (Handcrafted with Love). Thanks Pam - some really cute images and papers.

Card Swop

Look at this cute card that I received from Richelle in our SBS13 card swop. I love the stamp! Sorry Richelle, your card will be on it's way soon.

Pink and Green

I was experimenting with bright colours for this anniversary card. I love the shocking pink and lime green together. The base is pink Papermania card with a strip of green Papermania card. I rounded the corners of the card with my Woodware punch. The strip has been embossed with my Cuttlebug Spots and Circles folder. I used a friends Creative Moments cutter to cut 3 circles of white and pink. The stamp is Penny Black, done with coloured pencils. The 3rd white circle has been cut with my Fiskars deckle edging scissors and chalked slightly with green chalk - the image has been mounted on 3D foam pads. A Blonde Moments green polka dot ribbon and 3 Papermania gems have been added to finish.

Cards for My PIF

Just wanted to share the cards I made tonight to send out with my PIF's. These will hopefully be going out on Tuesday - with my hubbie away, I only have a couple of hours in the evening once the girls have gone to bed and all my chores are done!
As you can see, they are made using the same image and similar paper - all spotty. Although, I could only find the pink and blue variants, so went with a slightly different green one. The papers are by One heart One Mind.
I used Brazzil Bling card for the first time - and I love it! Gives the cards a lovely shine.
The image and sentiment are Penny Black. I coloured the cats all the same - marmalade! The envelopes are coloured to match the colour scheme and the hearts on the front of the envelopes are cut from the same coloured Brazzil Bling card as the backing card. The flowers have been attached with large Papermania brads. I hope you like them.

Dinosaurs

I made this card for one of daughters friends who is 4 next week. The dinosaurs, tree and 4 have been die cut with Cuttlekids dies from various coloured Papermania card and Craftwork Cards paper. I cut the volcano, lava and land from some brown, red and green Papermania card. The 4 is layered on dark blue Papermania card, corners rounded with my Woodware corner rounding punch and mounted using 3D foam ads. The clouds and shimmer on the green dinosaur is Blonde Moments pearlescent powder.

PIF Winners

We have our 3 PIF winners, please would Jo, Linda and Lesley email me their addresses and I will send you your goodies.

My First Tilda

My first Tilda! courtesy of Jo's PIF. I love the stamp, she is so cute. I coloured her with colured pencils and layered her with green Papermania card. The paper is from the Papermania Green Designer pack and the ribbon is from some flowers I had for Mothers Day (waste not!). I have added a pink Prima flower fixed with a red Papermania brad.
So, my turn to send out a PIF! The first 3 people (UK only - sorry!) to leave a comment will receive a parcel from me.

Cute Image from Nessy

Made this card tonight using one of the cute images that Nessy sent me. The background is lilac Brazzil Basics card. I coloured the image using coloured pencils and layered her with lilac BB card. Down the right-hand side, I have interwoven 4 strips of blue and purple flowery ribbon. The Stamping Bella sentiment is stamped using black Brilliance ink, layered with more lilac BB card. I added a small purple Prima flower and a small Papermania gem to finish!

Got a great PIF from Nessy (Nessy's Notes). Thanks Nessy, such a great number of stamped images and some lovely die cuts. Lovely card too! Will be doing my own PIF soon but my hubbie is away at the moment so don't have too much time for crafting looking after my two little girls (3 and 1)!

Boxing Sheep

Sorry that the picture is not great. I took it with my mobile phone this morning (at work) as I forgot to take a pic last night. I made this for a friend at work. Her fitness trainer is moving to Wales - hence the sheep and boxing gloves!! The backing card is dark green Brazzil Basics card layered with green daisy paper from Scissor Sisters. The image is designed and hand-drawn by me in ink, coloured with colour pencils. I decoupaged the sheeps' face and the boxing gloves, layered with the same dark green Brazzil Basics. Underneath the image are two lengths of green gingham ribbon from Blonde Moments. I have added an Anita's Best Wishes sentiment.

Mothers Day is for Grannys Too

This is a card I whipped up this morning for my Mom from my two girls. I stamped "Granny" using See D's and Brilliance ink on to pale blue card layered with bright blue card. I double stamped to create a shadow. I cut 2cms off a square card and attached the sentiment to the top of the card. I used a really pretty Papermania embossed vellum, edged with two strips of bright blue Papermania ribbon. The flowers were made by sticking Anita's outline stickers on to blue paper and cutting them out - they are attached to the card using 3D foam pads. Papermania gems add a bit of sparkle to their centres.

Happy Mothers Day for Me

This is the card my 3-year old daughter made just for me. I think it's gorgeous!!

Mothers DayCard for My Mom

I can finally put this one on as I gave it to my Mom today. Very simple construction but I love the colours. The backing paper is from Papermania Spring paper pack, with the edges rounded using my Woodward corner rounding punch. I have used a white organza ribbon by Joy along one side. To this I have attached two white and one yellow flowers with blue Papermania brads. I die cut the letters with my Cuttlebug - Cuttlekids Tadpole - from white card and added glitter with Stickles Glitter Glue in holographic.
